The In Shop Display
For the in‑shop display we sculpted clay ears, stretched them for silicone tunnels, and attached them to a painted clay pot so customers can see exactly how the gauged earrings sit. The gauged earrings thread through the silicone tunnels in the clay ears, showing front‑and‑back balance, charm movement, and true scale. The silicone tunnels are just under an inch in diameter but all gauged earrings fit sizes 0G and up.

Designer’s Perspective
Designing the display and selecting pieces for DNA Ink was a hands‑on, slightly messy joy. I’m not a sculptor, so making clay ears was humbling—big respect to anyone who works in clay—but it was the best way to show how our gauges actually sit through silicone tunnels and how charms dangle in motion. The challenge was getting proportions right and angling the pieces so the front‑facing stones read clearly while the back beads add subtle contrast. I love that these displays make it obvious: size 0 and up have earring options again! Working with DNA Ink felt natural because their team cares about fit, comfort, and aftercare—everything that matters when you’re buying body jewelry.
